On the heals of a recent very enthusiastic post on this very blog and by me, comes another one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s like a fucking miracle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have seen one or two of the Chucky movies. They are actually called the “Child’s Play” movies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have always liked Brad Dourif (And I really like his daughter) (No, seriously, it’s not a joke. If you haven’t seen “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”, you can’t understand how freakin amazing she is. But I digress…)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brad has been the voice of Chucky in all those gradually less interesting films.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have not been watching them and I haven’t cared whether or not another one was coming out or came out, at all. Just not interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But now, a miracle has occurred. And this is not a complaint about Brad Dourif. I like him, just haven’t been enthralled by the “Chucky” movies. Not his fault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You may be wondering why I keep defending Brad. Because I don’t want what follows to be thought of as an attack on him, at all. OK? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Like the recent reincarnation of Hellboy with a different actor and director, sometimes a stale franchise can benefit greatly with an infusion of fresh blood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometimes it’s the death knell, but sometimes it’s great. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new Hellboy looks really good to me. And that brings me to the point of this blog post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even all caps cannot properly express my glee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally the director of the newest and quite successful version of Stephen King’s “It”, Andr\u00e9s Muschietti, is doing this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Holy shit! What a combo. I can’t say for sure that it’ll be awesome. But … come on! Right!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
